Andy has been accepted to present a lecture/recital at PASIC 2009 in Indianapolis, IN. The session is entitled “David Lang: Deconstructing a Constructivist Composer” and will emphasize the brilliance of the processes used in Lang’s music for percussion. The hour-long session will open with a performance of Lang’s “so-called laws of nature” (mvt. 3) by the nief-norf project, and will close with a solo performance of “Scraping Song.” More info will be posted as it becomes available so please check back.
